My weekend was fun and exciting, not only did I get candy and Polish food (YUM), I got to see my friends from Traverse City and Kalkaska!  Oh, and went to the casino, and no I did not win.  My husband and I had a great time together, but also with my parents, sister and brother-n-law.  (I will tell that story another time)  We spent the day in Mackinaw and went shopping.  Either my MS is acting up or something crazy is going on!   Such is life, it is always something!

I am very excited for tommorrow, my mom and I are going to lunch.  We used to go every day for 2 years until recently when she left her job.  I miss seeing her everyday...everybody has friends even best friends, but I don't think many people can say that their mom is their best friend!  It is like a part of me has ripped apart and been run over by a big truck.

I just figured out that people can write comments to your blogs!  I want to thank all of you for your comments!!!  My husband and I are going away for the weekend to a candy convention....Oh I can taste the chocolate now!  All the candy companies will be there promoting their new inventions!  Yum...I can not wait!  While we are there, the town where the convention is they are having a Polish festival with authentic Polish food, dancing and plenty of drinks!!  Being about 50% Polish...it could be a rough weekend....Candy and Cabbage, not sure which is the lesser of 2 evils.  I still need to call the MS Clinic...I know shame on me.  Take care and keep smiling someone is always watching!

Summer is almost over which unfortuately winter will soon approach, yuck!  I have done well all summer not many 'flare-ups', well ok some minor ones <numbness, depression>.  I am going to check out the new MS clinic they have here, they only specialize in MS which is very exciting!   I will let you all know how it goes when I get a chance to go and check it out.

Wow!  Where I have I been?  Perhaps the summer has a habit of doing that to ya!  If I never go to another, wedding, baby shower or graduation again it will be too soon!  I am so happy to share this information...my husband is down from 511 pounds to 339 pounds!  He is doing so well it amazes me, but I know he can do it!  As for me, besides cutting my pinky finger open with some electric garden trimmers, I have been feeling pretty good!   <Once again, I think it is because it is summer>   I pray that you all are doing well too!!!

Ok, I guess I better write something....With all the GREAT stress in my life, my MS decided it would laugh and say "Hi, Did you miss me?"   The latest is I am having 'snowy' vision in my right eye.  I would take any symptom over eye issues!  My gait is also is also looking like I am a heavy drinker and my memory/loss for words has me talking like a 6 year old.  Gotta love it!  Anyway, I have been off me MS meds for almost 3 years and I can say that I am doing about the same or maybe a little better since I have not been on them.   In the last 3 years, I have been on steroids once and only have had some issues with bladder/bowel control and gait problems.

My husband and I have been working in our yard, since it has been fairly nice outside.  We have built a pond, took out some grass, laid lava rocks and built a shed.   <Ok, he has done most of it>  He is wonderful!  Not only is he still recovering from surgery, he works full time, been working in the yard every night, but he also takes care of me.

PS....I really need to work on my thesis paper....I know it is not going to write itself....Oh, but I wish it would!   Because I am not allowing myself to scrapbook until it is done and I really want to do that!!!!
